Meditation Room
The Still Room
An unadorned meditation space in stone and ash wood, built to serve a blended-faith household.
Custom Sacred Spaces
Custom sacred architecture inspired by faith, tradition, and quiet contemplation.
In every home there should be one place untouched by the noise of the world, a place to pray, reflect, remember, or simply be still. We design spaces that give silence a home.
About Us
Designed to serve the tradition it's built for
We believe that designing a sacred space begins long before the first piece of stone is cut or the first board is shaped. It begins with understanding the tradition it is meant to serve.
Domus Sancta is built on a lifetime spent inside sacred architecture. Our founder was born and raised between Iran and Turkey, two of the world's most architecturally rich cultures for sacred space, and has spent years studying both Christian and Persian (Islamic) architecture, deepened by travel to churches and mosques across the Middle East, Russia, Europe, and South America.
We work at any scale a home calls for: turning a single corner into a small musalla, an alcove into a quiet prayer niche, or converting an entire room into a dedicated chapel. Every space is designed to fit naturally into your home, whatever its size.
We build in cement, stone, wood, and plaster to recreate the textures and details of historic sacred spaces. Through relationships with church decommissioners across the US and Europe, we're also able to source materials, art, and components that were once part of real churches, giving new spaces a genuine connection to sacred history.
Designed with care. Crafted with patience. Built to endure.
Our Craftsmanship
Made possible by artisans across generations
Our projects are made possible by artisans whose skills have been passed from one generation to the next. Every material is selected not only for its beauty, but for its ability to age gracefully and serve generations to come.
- Hand-carved woodwork by a master artisan in Vietnam
- Mosaic craftsmanship from two artisan studios in Bursa, Turkey
- Fine decorative finishes by specialist artisans
- Micro cement finishes and structures
Behind the Craft
The work before the reveal
From plaster and stone texturing to the final wiring and install, every piece starts as raw material shaped by hand. This is where that process will live.
Our Design Philosophy
Throughout history, every civilization has set aside places for silence, spaces where the ordinary gives way to reflection, prayer, and wonder. We believe every home deserves such a place.
Whether it is a chapel, mandir, shrine, prayer corner, meditation room, or simply a quiet alcove, a sacred space reminds us to pause. It invites us to return to what is eternal, meaningful, and true.
Geometry
Thoughtful proportions bring harmony.
Light
Natural materials age with dignity.
Intention
Silence gives the space its purpose.
Together, they create architecture that quietly elevates everyday life. We serve people of every faith and tradition, and those with none at all. Whether your path is rooted in God, in meditation, or in quiet contemplation, every person deserves a place to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with themselves.
We do not simply build rooms.
We create places where the soul can come home.

How It Works
From first conversation to finished space
01
Discover
Every project begins with a detailed questionnaire. It helps us understand your tradition, the way you pray or meditate, the space available in your home, your aesthetic preferences, and the vision you hope to bring to life.
02
Consultation
We meet with you to discuss your questionnaire, explore your home, answer questions, and establish a comfortable budget. Together, we refine the concept until it feels uniquely yours.
03
Design
We develop a custom design tailored to your home and spiritual practice. Through photorealistic 3D visualizations, you'll see exactly how the finished space will look before any craftsmanship begins.
04
Craftsmanship
Once the design is approved, each component is handcrafted by skilled artisans using carefully selected hardwoods, natural stone, metalwork, and traditional techniques. Every piece is built specifically for your project.
05
Installation
The finished components are delivered and professionally installed in your home with care and precision. The result is a sacred space that feels as though it has always belonged there, ready to serve you and your family for years to come.
06
Blessing & Completion
Once the installation is complete, we walk through every detail with you, ensuring the space is exactly as envisioned. Whether it becomes a place for prayer, meditation, contemplation, or quiet reflection, it is now ready to begin its life as part of your home.
